Too many variables?
I’m finishing up the final part of the investigation for the first suspect. Right now, the game has about 15,700 lines of code and 125,000 words.
The complexity starts to show when tying everything together to ensure no loose ends, including the good and bad decisions the player can make or the luck in their rolls.
The game is full of variables to remember each player decision, and although I recycle some with different figures, I end up with over 100. That is, I have more than 100 "memories" of what the player has done, which I can and will use at some point to modify how the game reacts based on those choices.
It’s honestly a nightmare; sometimes I don’t even know what I’m doing or how to tie it all together. Anyway, in a few days, I’ll upload a video with a preview of the gameplay for this scene. I hope you like it.
